“Spielberger is an experimental duo formed of Musician and Songwriter, Ed Matus (The Waterford Landing, HALO Vessel, Subliminal Criminal) and Conceptual Artist and Composer, Bert Rodriguez (several un-notable bands and musical experiments only a few people in an elitist, esoteric art world might remember but, only after you showed them a picture of it along with a signed, certificate of authenticity).” – http://www.facebook.com/spielbergergroup

Episode 5!
The mix on this episode was based on another UK Indie Mix that we made back in 2004 to promote our now defunct internet radio station, The Sonic Sound System… which by the way, The Miami New Times wrote a nice little blip about it back in the day… I weep.
anyway…
The original mix was a hit within the anglophile community and a favorite amongst friends and listeners of the station. It got so popular that an actual British citizen declared Fence The Fishboy an honorary Briton… ‘ello!
That said, we are NOT presenting that mix. We decided to re-record the whole thing (blasphemy) as we could only find a crappy low bit rate version of the ORIGINAL (128kbps) and it sounds exactly like ass.
So, The Fishboy re-recorded the mix @ Cookieheadz studio back in February and pulled a George Lucas… meaning, some of you may not be happy with the final result as it is not an exact copy of the original mix. Some songs have been omitted, while new songs have been added. Either way, it still functions as an ass kicking brit pop mix… and if you have never heard the original, you will have no idea on what I’m talking about.
enjoy,

Alas, we made it to episode 4!
The mix on this episode was recorded @ ((SHAKE)) @ The Vagabond, a couple months back during one of our Rockers Vs Bros nights. It is a continuation of our “Who Is Killing Rock N Roll?” series, picking up where the 60’s left off… the 70’s.
As 1970’s Rock N Roll is too big of an elephant to capture in 110 minutes of digital celluloid, I decided to cut to the money shot and focus on the Punk Rock/Power Pop/Garage/Jibber Jabber/77 vibe.. and I promise in future episodes we will explore every other nook and cranny that 70’s rock has to offer…. when I get around to it, so get off my ass!
For the purist out there, I want to come clean and confess to a serious and treacherous crime. Not all the songs on this mix are from the 1970’s nor were they all recorded in 1977 (I’ll let you figure it out). Now, now.. before the pitchfork crowd comes after me, in my defense, I merely wanted to capture the essence of 77 and I wasn’t out to document or archive… so please spare me your dramaramma suckah dj turdazz and let me touch your ear bone, meng!
You can Download it here via Sound Cloud by clicking on the lil arrow pointing down.. (Still working!)

The sexy Jose El Rey, The fertile Able Folger, The matt damon Dominic Sirianni, El Papa Ahol Sniffs Glue, and the rest of the ((SHAKE))/Vagabond familyyeee. A special shout out to my boy, Ben Carilloooo… one of the only folks in Miami bustin’ out and preachin’ the power pop manifesto, and definitely an inspiration on this mix.
…and For those who have been bugging me for a new electronic music mix, I should have a mellow electronic mix next month.(March).. something to chill y’all of you out!

Episode 3: I Lost My Heart At Pussy Point
A 60’s Rock N Roll Mixx by DJ Sad Tiger
…about the mix presented in our show:
It was recorded back in 2004 @ Poplife @ I/0 w/ my mini disc walkman. It was the 2nd version of a mix I would usually throw down of 60’s freakbeat. The 1st version of this mix was originally given out to 50 of my friends via CDR with a different/variant track listing. All mixes were recorded using vinyl, CDs, and shitty mixer sound fx.
